South Carolina Deputation

We were blessed to have spent time with our brothers and sisters at Fellowship Bible Church in Lancaster, SC, this past weekend. What a friendly group of people this is! We thank them for their interest in the Croatia ministry and for their prayers. We are praying for them also and for Carolina Christian Academy as the school year comes to a close.

Answered Prayer

When we started deputation in October, Matt was working full-time and I part-time. Although Matt still needs to work full-time, we have had a long-time prayer request answered regarding my work. Due to scheduling, my work required me to keep evening hours, often until late. This made it hard to get missions-related work done in the evenings, spend any time together, and get proper sleep at times. In short, the problems began to outweigh the benefits.

In February, after praying about the situation, we decided that I would stop working sometime during the spring (contingent on my employer finding a replacement for me). Although we didn’t know how this would work financially, we knew God would provide. Last month our prayers were answered when Matt received a significant raise, and this past Monday was my last day at work.

God is so good, and He has answered our prayers and has provided miraculously once again. We praise Him for this undeserved grace. Our next step is full-time deputation. Please pray that God would soon provide to allow us to begin this full-time deputation.

North Carolina

We had a wonderful visit this past weekend with the folks at Fellowship Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC. This church family has been of great encouragement to Ellen’s brother Evan for the past year, and they carried that friendliness and encouragement over to us as well. We thank God for them and are extremely grateful for their prayers. We are praying for them as well, as they will be holding tent meetings this month. Please join us in prayer that God will use these special meetings to draw souls to Himself.
